CCBC 2019

Thank you, Columbia, for a great first year and for a great start in 2019!  Since opening, our total number of beers brewed is 56.  November 30, 2018 marked our one-year anniversary and for that we released a bourbon/brandy barrel aged imperial stout, One Year Anniversary.

December 2018, we started our 16 oz. can release program.  In addition to the existing to-go growler and crowler fills, customers now have the option to take 4 packs to-go. The first can release included Patisserie, our blackberry and tart cherry sour ale, and Batch 100, our NE Style Hazy IPA.  The next can release will feature two different beers and will be announced in March.

For all the lager fans, now available in the tap room is our Columbia Craft Lager in a 12 oz. 6-pack. The 6-packs are $11.00 (including tax) and are available year-round.

Currently, our Famously Hop IPA and Columbia Craft Lager are our most distributed beers. January 2019, we released two additional beers for our distribution accounts – Brutally Honest, a brut pale ale, and Carolinian, a blonde ale. Look for both of these specialty beers in restaurants and bars around town!

The next specialty beer hitting the distribution market is Hop Acid, a pale beer soured with lactobacillus brevis and dry hopped with copious amounts of amarillo, citra, mosaic, and azacca. It is tart and hoppy, yet easily crushable.  Keep an eye out for this tap room favorite early February.

Our brewer, Shaun, and his team have exciting ideas they want to bring to the tap room – a cherry and lime sour ale, traditional German lager, Imperial Stout, Pilsner, New England Style IPA, and a strawberry and pineapple sour ale…We hope you are ready, Columbia.

Cheers to another great year!

What’s happening at Columbia Craft Brewing Company?

Since opening, we have released 35 different beers – sour ales, IPAs, pale ales, lagers, and more. You can currently find our flagship offerings, Columbia Craft Lager and Famously Hop IPA, in 100 retail locations in the greater Columbia area. This spring we released Alien Hat, a watermelon sour ale – look for it in retail locations around Columbia.

Dominque G. joined our team as a full time production assistant to our brewer, Shaun. Dom has been a great addition to our team and we’re excited to have her. Jessica S. and Kurtis S (not related) also have joined the team as beer servers.

We’ve added two brand new 30bbl fermenters and the installation of our new walk-in cooler is complete. These additions to our facility allow us to increase our production for our tap room and to our distributor, KW Beverage. Bring on more beer!

Coming to CCBC:
• Brut IPA – Antibody – new style IPA that is unique, light-bodied, and refreshing.
• Oktoberfest, September 29th – live music, the Wurst Wagen food truck, and Festbier!
• Details about our new barrel aging program

Many exciting things are happening at CCBC and we enjoy hearing from you. Tell us how we’re doing – like, comment, share. We hope to see you in the taproom!
