It has been a busy first half of 2019 for CCBC…here’s an update with what’s been happening and what is to come.

The results are in for the 2019 US Open Beer Championship and we medaled in two categories! Our Carolinian won Silver for the Blonde Ale category and our Citrus All Pro took Bronze for the Specialty Pale Ale category.  Big Congrats to Common House Ale Works, Revelry Brewing, Birds Fly South, Carolina Bauer Haus, and Riverdog Brewing on their medals.

To expand our distribution market beyond Columbia, we started distributing to the Greenville, Anderson and Seneca areas early 2019. We had the opportunity to attend the Greenville Trade Show and got the chance to meet with several local businesses. You can now find our taps in the following upstate restaurants: Pour Taproom, The Velo Fellow, Liberty Taproom & Grill, Universal Joint, Community Tap, Chicora Alley, Local Que, Piney Mountain Bike Lounge, The Pint Station, Shucks Oyster Bar and Moe’s.

Our keg distribution footprint has expanded to the Aiken and Augusta markets more recently. You can find our beer in these areas and at the Augusta GreenJackets Baseball Stadium. Be sure to check their schedule for a special tap takeover on August 2nd by your peoples.

Enough about keg beer, what about cans? They are coming…12oz Lager and IPA cans will hit stores in September. The 6-pack can rollout will only be in the greater Columbia market at first, but will hit Greenville, Aiken and Augusta in December.

Feel like you can’t wait until September – we got you covered – our next 16 oz. can release is happening July 20th! The release will be a West Coast Style India Pale Ale. This is the first west coast style IPA Shaun and his team has brewed since opening. 16 oz. 4-packs will be available in the tap room togo.

And finally, in case you haven’t heard – the City of Columbia recently approved our request to expand and enhance our tap room. Our construction and engineering teams are hard at work and construction will start soon!
